Yay! We have enough kids to have a classroom. For those of you not following along with the story of my exciting life, I was offered a position as a part time preschool teacher. However, it came with the stipulation that they would get enough kids signed up. Well, two more are registering tomorrow which brings us to the magic number of ten! YAY!!! I spent 8 1/2 hours rearranging today (with help from my mom, Kendra, Alissa & Gabby) and here are some before and after shots of the room.
Before... a lot of wasted space. The teacher's desk was just to the left of this picture in the middle of kid's space. 
Before... the 'boy toys' and the 'girl toys' were separated by a giant shelf. It was also set up so that you couldn't see the entire room and the kids could 'hide' behind things. I didn't like that.
After... this is the "hiding corner" in the before pictures. All the toys are living happily together and not segregated :)
After... this is where my desk used to be. It gives us a bigger floor space to play and do fun things with songs :) 
The calendar area. I have a new calendar to put up and a blue rocking chair to replace the wooden chair. That bookshelf on the floor was hanging on the wall with two metal hooks at about my eye level, so I'm not sure how preschoolers were supposed to reach it. I yanked it down :)
