When the husband's away...

the wife redecorates :)

Chad had a Bachelor Party for his good friend, Adam, last night and I took it upon myself to re-do the bathroom. The entire house was white when Chad moved in (2 years ago next week!). So far, we've painted the living room (burnt asparagus) and the spare bedroom (apricot something-or-other). I've ripped down the disgusting garage shelves in the master bedroom, but we still haven't decided on the paint color. We have also pulled up the carpet in the spare and master bedrooms to reveal beautiful hardwood floors.

Anyway, back to my redecorating. I went yesterday and picked out a new shower curtain, rug and bathroom hardware for our upstairs bathroom. The room drove me crazy! The floor was white, the walls were white and the ceiling was white.

New curtain, new rug, new paint :) I even washed the window, mopped the floor, cleaned the sink and scrubbed the tub! I love it!

The shelf needs stuff on it still but I'm pretty happy with the result.

In other news, I begin my new job as a preschool teacher tomorrow. School starts a week from Wednesday and I have this week to get the room ready. I'm a little nervous about having 10 three & four year olds in my care, but I'll be fine.
